iPad drawings

Posted on January 12, 2016February 13, 2016

iPad_wcOver the holidays I took to making sketches on my iPad. The tablet seems like an amazing tool for almost any kind of development or exploration of ideas. Just like a Swiss Army Knife, but for creative folk.

In any case I thought it would be fun to explore some ideas for future prints or even a painting. Or this design might actually stand alone as is. I printed one out after some minor adjustments in PhotoShop and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the print looked. Endless possibilities I suppose.

No need to ignore David Hockney‘s enthusiasm for the iPad as a drawing and painting tool either. In fact, it should be embraced if one has any attraction to that medium. As an early adopter of this tool he has already produced a huge volume of work. Very impressive.

Here are some more examples of this technique.
