Amy Winehouse, a very talented singer/songwriter and perhaps a bit of a train wreck. I’m fascinated by talented people who succumb to their own weaknesses.
Although there is something to be said for the “Go big or go home” theory when it comes to feeding your art.
I grabbed a sheet of old weather beaten plywood, sketched her and began digging with the cutters to make this large format expressionist woodcut.
